Ramadan

As Ramadan approaches, we would like to take this opportunity to inform both the students and teachers about the month of Ramadan. Therefore, we have prepared an information sheet about the Holy Month. If you wish to print out a copy, you can download a printable version:

http://www.husaynimadrasah.co.uk/WhatisRamadan.pdf

We strongly encourage parents to attend the regular programmes at various centres in the area. SICM (Mahfil Ali) are holding a daily programme during the month. This includes a children’s programme consisting of a 30 minute talk and Qur’an recitation. Iftar will also be served on most days. The importance of daily recitation of the Holy Qur’an cannot be overstated and attendance of the daily programme will undoubtedly improve the children’s Qur’an recitation. For more information about the SICM Ramadan programme, please visit:  http://www.sicm.org.uk/ramadan.

We pray that your Ramadan will be fulfilling and prosperous inshaAllah.

Husayni Madrasah is a Sunday School based in North Harrow. The Madrasah offers teaching for children between the ages of 3 and 16 in subjects including Qur'an, Fiqh, Islamic History, Arabic and Current Affairs.

The unique set of subjects ensure that the children not only learn the fundamental principles of Islam, but also are able to project themselves into the society. The children are trained to be able to discuss issues about the world and Islam with people of other faiths.

A message from the Principal:

"We can all see the problems that the Youth face. Islamic values are being trampled on all around us. Lectures, Alhamdulillah are one way in which we can address this issue…but unfortunately this is not enough to teach our youngsters the way in which they should move forward.

That’s right. I’m talking about giving our Muslim children a basic foundation for LIFE. A solid foundation in Islamic values, which allows them to live in the current climate and be able to discuss their religion and beliefs with others. In my opinion, it is vital that children obtain this from a Madrasah.

Husayni Madrasah is a Sunday School which is based in these very premises, which teaches Islam to children from the ages of 3 to 16.

Amongst the first Islamic schools to teach subjects such as Islamic civilisation, Husayni Madrasah helps to give the children a worldwide view of Islam. Uniquely, Husayni Madrasah also teaches Current Affairs, which helps children to understand the governmental system in England as well as Islamic global concerns.

Other subjects which we teach include Arabic, Islamic History, Fiqh, Qur’an. "
